The One

I think I found myself the one!

Photo by Clarisse Meyer on Unsplash

You get used to
Watching the world from between the falling grains of sand,
To think of the world, then feign to faint
To bottle up it all inside a jar full of constraints
To live your emotions in restraint.
But have you ever enjoyed the
rainfall down your cheeks
Ever experienced in a way
where you seem
like a nitwit,
a complete
freak.

Ever believed in the power of love
of those lovers in your fantasy books
Who never seemed bottled up, constantly
caught kissing in the nooks.

Have you ever found a being
Who loves your melancholy sing?
Who carries a light?
in your fragmentary world
Who’s voice is ever so flattery
An antidote to all your sorrow.

A human who enjoys falling sand
Off your hand.
Hold you up in your falling grace.
Never that person is too far away.

So wait for that one
That one might not be the brightest sun
But you will know
When it will glow, when that one
will come.

A cure to your constraints
A hammer to your restraints
Believe in that power of belief
Believe, everlasting is never the grief!

I think I found myself the one.

We normally associate love with a person who's gonna be the one with whom we are going to be with for the rest of our life. But I do not agree with this perception of love. You can fall in love with anyone and at anytime. He/She can be anyone, but the truth would always be, he/she will never fail to cheer you up and stand by you. They can be a family member, a friend, or even a random stranger. They will always be the medicine to your poison, the light to your sun, a hand to your heart and the cure for your soul. No matter who they are, wherever they are, they will always be the one. Cherish that one!
